Helping manage absence
A large, diverse employer with a range of job roles, including safety-critical, was struggling with employee sickness absence, particularly frequent, short-term absence.
We consulted with managers and employee representatives and implemented a new referral process. As a result, sickness absence levels fell from 10.4 days to 7.3 days per annum, delivering major benefits for the client, through continuing to deliver further cost reductions and efficiency savings.
