Dr Kathryn McKinnon

Dr Kathryn McKinnon, Head of Medical Education

Dr Kathryn McKinnon FFOM is a highly experienced Consultant Occupational Health Physician and leader in medical education. An accredited specialist since 2013, she holds a Diploma in Postgraduate Medical Education and is a GMC-accredited Educational Supervisor. As Chair of the BMA Occupational Medicine Committee and Health Partners Academy Director of Medical Education, she is passionate about developing the next generation of professionals. Dr McKinnon also serves as an MFOM examiner and CESR assessor, driving excellence in occupational health education and practice.

Dr Emma Hirons

Dr Emma Hirons, Occupational Health Physician

Dr Emma Hirons is a Specialist Registrar in Occupational Medicine with a background in General Practice. She currently works between University Hospitals Birmingham and Health Partners, with a special interest in Occupational Lung Disease. Having worked in several NHS Trusts as well as the private sector, she has gained experience of a wide variety of industries. She is a member of the Society of Occupational Medicine Special Interest Group and a contributor to the recent award winning Delphi Study on ill health retirement. She contributes to medical student, Foundation Year 2 and Internal Medicine Training teaching in the West Midlands, as well as courses delivered by the Birmingham NHS Occupational Lung Disease service. 

 

Dr James Fisher

Dr James Fisher Occupational Health Physician & Clinical Trainer

Dr James Fisher is a dedicated medical educator with extensive experience supporting healthcare professionals at every stage, from students to senior clinicians. With a PgCert in Healthcare Education and experience as a lecturer, James founded the Clinical Teaching Fellow Forum, which grew into the influential DMEG, and served as Membership Lead, Council Member, and Executive Member of the Academy of Medical Educators. An enthusiastic and highly committed educator, James drives innovation and excellence in our incredible multidisciplinary training offering.

Emma Bennett

Dr Emma Bennett, Medical Director

Dr Emma Bennett is a Medical Director at Health Partners and the clinical lead for Clinical Governance, Health Surveillance and Wellbeing. She previously worked as a consultant occupational health physician at Rolls Royce, and prior to that has held posts both with corporate providers, and also within the NHS. Emma is an appointed Dr in Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome and Ionising Radiation and sits on the Society of Occupational Medicine’s special interest group for Noise Induced Hearing Loss.
