International Nurses Day is observed annually on May 12th, the birth date of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, and it is a fitting tribute to our nurses who continue her legacy of healing and nurturing life.
For International Nurses Day we are reflecting on the invaluable contributions of our 240 nurses whose dedication and expertise are unparalleled. They play a pivotal role in delivering unwavering support and care to our client employees.
Our pride in our nursing team is matched by our commitment to nurturing the next generation of nursing professionals. Our Health Partners Academy has been instrumental in supporting nurses as they train for specialised roles in Occupational Health, a field that is crucial in safeguarding the wellbeing of our workforce across various industries.
The Academy's curriculum, which blends theoretical knowledge with practical skills, has successfully equipped 46 nurses to excel in occupational health. We ensure that our nurses are not only competent in their clinical skills but also are attuned to the ever-evolving landscape of healthcare needs in occupational settings. This holistic approach to nurse training ensures that our nurses are not just care providers but also advocates for health promotion and disease prevention in the workplace.
As we honour the tireless work of our nurses, it is crucial to remember that support for the nursing profession should not be confined to a single day. The appreciation and recognition of nurses' contributions an ongoing commitment to ensure that nurses are valued, respected and empowered to work to the full extent of their expertise and abilities.
Thank you, nurses, for being our partners in health.
